Hello SV, thank you for viewing my site. Sorry for the late reply.
As for the screws to use. Mine was passed down from the previous owner. I think it is too long for the At-95e and thus I used washers to support it. I am using different cartridge now and thus not sure which screws are good for At-95e. Guess, got to trial and error. Sorry, cannot advise much. Thank you.

Hey, nice posts you got here.
I just registered to ask you a question about those screws connecting the at-95e cartridge to the thorens arm (I also have that thorens). What is the length of the screws I should use? I found a pair that has the correct thread size but I’m not sure if it is long enough…
About that distortion you have got: have you tried using a different protractor? You could try the “Stupid Stevenson alignment protractor” from here: http://www.vinylengine.com/cartridge-alignment-protractors.shtml . It is not a really common used one, but I found out that the cartridge I have on it now is aligned using this method.

For me, building this AN kit4 is not from scratch. It was from a kit set. Meaning, it came with all the ready made components such as the case, PCB and components. So, all I need to do was just soldered all the components into the PCB and assemble all the parts. However, you could still get this kit set online I think or from Audio Note Singapore. Previously, I got it from Martin electronics.

Hi Alex,

Your amps look great! Amazing that you started from scratch. I love music mainly fusion jazz, and also fall in love with tube amps and the sound they produce. Many years ago I bought a tube amp and recently I just got this idea of building one for myself after reading and seeing so many DIY on different websites. Though not many DIY in S’pore, until I came across your website. Any advise where to start as I am eager but don’t have the know how of the electronics that goes along to build one. Thanx!
