Watch Repair Course by Tascione

Since I have owned a few mechanical watches. I am keen to learn how to repair or service them. After some search, I came across this Watch Repair Course by Tascione over the web. It is a DVD course. Without hesitation, I ordered myself a copy. As many agree that picture could tell a thousand words; but I think a video could tell a million. Thus, this Watch Repair Course by Tascione is a DVD course and with video presentation, it is as if an expert watchmaker is beside you giving guidance how to repair or service a watch. I personally find it great for beginner like myself.
The manual on “Pocket Watches and why they work” has very good information on how the Wheel Balance works. It also gives you a writeup on what are the most basic tools to start with for watch repair and servicing.
The DVD itself is well made. For the first DVD, it already teaches you how to dismantle a pocket watch. The 2nd and the 3rd DVDs shows me the whole process of cleaning, demagnetizing, oiling and assemble the pocket watch. It also tells us what are the precautions need to be taken for every steps and the correct methods and locations to oil the watch. Very informative in my opinion. I have 3 more DVDs to watch and I am sure it will be very helpful for my watch repair and servicing journey.
Below are some pictures of the course materials…
